Applications for Exhibition Prize Available Nov. 1, 2007

Curators of contemporary art may apply online for the biennial Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award beginning November 1, 2007.


Information, including guidelines and applications, for the 2008 biennial Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award, will be available beginning November 1, 2007 on the Foundation's website (www.tremainefoundation.org). The winning curator will receive a $150,000.00 grant to be used for the development of a superior and innovative thematic exhibition that defies the boundaries of contemporary art. Intention to apply must be filed online by March 7, 2008; the completed form needs to be submitted by April 11.

Past recipients include Sylvia Chivaratanond for Skin Tight: The Sensibility of the Flesh (2002) at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, Illinois and Christian Eckart, Osvaldo Romberg and Harry Philbrick for Faith: The Impact of Judeo-Christian Religion on Art at the Millennium (1998) at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art in Ridgefield, Connecicut.
