Extensive Exhibition Opens at Württemberg State Museum
"Egyptian Mummies: Immortality in the Land of the Pharaohs" at a German museum assembles some 350 rare objects from six European countries.
Stuttgart, Germany's Württemberg State Museum is featuring Egyptian Mummies: Immortality in the Land of the Pharaohs (October 6, 2007-March 24, 2008). The show explores the history of ancient Egyptian mummification practices, religion and ideas of the afterlife through some 350 artifacts from 34 museums and collections in Germany, France, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.
