General public tickets for The First Emperor: China's Terracotta Army, appearing at Atlanta, Georgia's High Museum of Art from November 16, 2008 to April 19, 2009, go on sale beginning May 1, 2008.
The overwhelmingly popular touring exhibition includes unique life-sized terracotta figures from the underground tomb complex of Emperor Qin Shihuangdi (r. 221-210 B.C.). Warriors, chariot horses, court officials, acrobats and musicians in baked clay are joined by bronze water birds and other artifacts.
